Indian billionaire and car enthusiast Gautam Singhania has stirred up the automotive world with his recent Rs 3.65 crore Maserati MC20 supercar, labeling it a "lemon" and expressing serious concerns about its safety.

Billionaire’s Concerns

This sleek supercar, boasting speeds over 325 kilometers per hour, has become an expensive garage ornament instead of a road conqueror at Singhania's Mumbai home. Singhania's dissatisfaction has also prompted a public showdown. At an event, he openly called the MC20 the "worst" car he's driven, highlighting its unacceptable performance and hazardous driving experience. Blaming Maserati for brushing off concerns, he appealed to them on social media to appoint an independent test driver to assess the car's safety and performance.

However, it seems like the carmaker's parent company, Stellantis is allegedly unwilling to address the issue. Concerned about potential risks, Singhania has escalated his stance by reaching out to Indian authorities and consumer courts, warning that the MC20 might lead to accidents.

Maserati’s Response

Maserati's response which was posted on the social media platform X, acknowledged Singhania's dissatisfaction and offered to help. They expressed regret over his negative experience and emphasized their commitment to customer satisfaction.
