Isuzu S-Cab Z Dark Series In Pics: Here's What's Different

Isuzu S-Cab Z Dark Series: Isuzu Motor is the first commercial vehicle (CV) manufacturer to go dark. In an unusual move, the CV maker unveiled its first-ever all-black version of the Isuzu S-Cab Z pickup truck a couple of weeks ago. Isuzu's special-edition S-Cab Z Dark Series, in essence, ditches chrome and colour for a dark monotone treatment. 

Exterior Design

As the name implies, the S-Cab Z Dark Series is finished in an all-black shade. Like the all-black edition models, the Dark Series add black finishes for the eagle-inspired grille, outside rearview mirrors, and wheel caps. The car also features flared wheel arches with chunky cladding. It rides on new alloy wheels with a black finish. Other notable elements include added fog lamps, a rear roll cage, sidesteps, and Dark Series badging. 

Interior, Features

The interior is also all-black, but it features the familiar touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, steering wheel-mounted controls, manual AC, a keyless system, and USB charging ports. Safety-wise, the Dark Series gets dual airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, and a rear parking camera. 

Powertrain

Under the hood, the Dark Series features the same 2.5-litre 4JA1 diesel engine, which produces 78bhp and 176Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
