Jaguar Fighter Jet: Why IAF Uses It?
The Indian Air Force used the Jaguar Fighter Jet significantly in the Kargil war. India’s recent operation Sindoor also involved the use of the Jaguar fighter jet. While fighter jets like Rafale and Sukhoi are known for their power and speed, the Jaguar fighter jets are known for their capabilities of gliding 50-100 feet above the ground to avoid enemy radar. The Jaguar fighter jet is also capable of carrying heavy bombs over long distances, which makes it ideal for deep-penetration missions. Indian Air Force has enhanced its capabilities by the addition of Rafales and Sukhoi fighter jets, but the Jaguar fighter jets have remained the backbone of the force for more than 40 years.
