Jeep Meridian X Special Edition Launched: Jeep India has launched a special edition of its Meridian SUV, named the Meridian X in the Indian market. The Jeep Meridian X Special Edition has been launched in the Indian market at a price of Rs 34.27 lakh (ex-showroom). This new variant brings several styling updates and additional features, enhancing the appeal of the already popular model. The introduction of the Jeep Meridian X adds a fresh and attractive option for buyers in the premium SUV segment.

Jeep Meridian X - Design & Features 

Talking about its design, the Jeep Meridian X stands out with its unique grey roof and alloy wheels with grey accents. When compared to the standard Meridian, this special edition includes several new features such as side moulding, puddle lamps, programmable ambient lighting, sunshades, an air purifier, premium carpet mats, an optional rear-seat entertainment package and a dashcam. 

Jeep Meridian X - Engine Specs 

Under the hood, the Meridian X is equipped with a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces a power output of 170 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, with an optional 9-speed torque converter automatic available. However, it is yet to be confirmed if the Meridian X will be available with both gearbox options and whether it will be offered in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations.

Jeep Meridian - Rivals 

With the introduction of the Meridian X, Jeep aims to boost sales and clear stock ahead of the facelifted model's launch. The upcoming Jeep Meridian facelift that is likely to launch in the Indian market by the festive season, will come with new features and design changes to keep up with the tough competition. It will continue to compete with other premium SUVs in the segment such as the Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster and Toyota Fortuner.
