Volvo EX90: Volvo Cars has begun production of its highly anticipated EX90 electric SUV. Post its launch, the Volvo EX90 is set to be the brand’s new flagship EV. Volvo is anticipated to begin deliveries of this new electric SUV in the latter half of this year. The new Volvo EX90 is also expected to launch in the Indian market by 2025. According to a recent statement from Volvo, the first production EX90 has rolled off the assembly line at their Charleston factory. The first Volvo EX90 is painted in Denim Blue, and is allotted to a U.S. customer later this year.
Volvo EX90 - Safety
The EX90 not only expands Volvo's lineup of electric vehicles but also signifies a major shift for the company. It is the first model to feature core computing technology, enhancing its safety features significantly. Volvo asserts that the EX90 is designed to be the safest vehicle the company has ever produced. It is equipped with advanced active and passive safety technologies and software, supported by an extensive array of sensors. This seven-seater family SUV also features a powerful core system that is always connected and can be updated over time through software enhancements. These updates are provided by Volvo’s software engineers, utilizing AI and real-time data collection.
Volvo EX90 - Design & Interior
Talking about the design of the Volvo EX90, it showcases the brand's modern design language which is evident in other Volvo models. It features the brand's iconic Thor's Hammer LED headlights, a blanked-off grille similar to the XC40 Recharge, flush-fitting door handles, 22-inch alloy wheels and C-shaped split LED tail lamps. Inside the Volvo EX90, the electric SUV features a 14.5-inch vertically-oriented touchscreen infotainment system powered by Google OS, with 5G connectivity for over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Volvo EX90 - Powertrain, Battery & Range
The EX90 is built on Volvo's next-generation, fully electric platform and offers an impressive range of up to 600 km on a single charge. It is powered by a dual-motor all-wheel-drive powertrain that offers two power and torque output levels. The base model produces 408 bhp and 770 Nm of torque, while the higher variant delivers 517 bhp and 910 Nm of torque, both capable of reaching a top speed of 180 km/h.
