BMW R 1300 GS Launch: BMW Motorrad is set to launch the highly-anticipated BMW R 1300 GS in India on June 13. After being listed on the BMW Motorrad India website recently, this new model promises to bring significant changes to BMW's flagship adventure tourer. One of the standout features of the new R 1300 GS is its weight. The bike is 12 kilograms lighter than the previous 1250 model, thanks to a new sheet metal frame and a redesigned engine.

BMW R 1300 GS - Variants & Expected Price
Post its launch, the BMW R 1300 GS will be available in three variants in India - the GS Trophy, Triple Black and the top-spec Option 719 Tramuntana. The outgoing BMW R 1250 GS is currently sold in a single ‘Pro’ variant and is priced at Rs 20.55 lakh (ex-showroom).
Although the exact pricing for the R 1300 GS has not been revealed, it is expected to carry a premium over the 1250 GS due to its advanced features and improvements. In terms of competition, the R 1300 GS will rival the Ducati Multistrada V4, Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 Special and Triumph Tiger 1200.
BMW R 1300 GS - Design
Talking about the design of the R 1300 GS, it represents a major shift compared to its predecessors. Unlike the older models that featured an asymmetrical twin-pod headlight, the new R 1300 GS comes with a single-pod headlight surrounded by four LED DRLs. This update gives the bike a fresh and modern look.
BMW R 1300 GS - Engine Specs
Coming to the engine specs of the BMW R 1300 GS, it is powered by a new 1,300cc liquid-cooled engine that is capable of producing a power output of 145 bhp and 149 Nm of torque. These figures mark a notable improvement over its predecessor.

BMW R 1300 GS - Features
In terms of features, the R 1300 GS includes radar-assisted riding aids for the first time in the lineup. These new features complement the usual riding modes, electronic suspension, traction control, and cruise control, enhancing the overall riding experience.
