Mercedes-Benz EQA Launch: Mercedes-Benz India is set to expand its electric vehicle lineup in the country with the introduction of the EQA electric SUV on July 8, 2024. This will be the fourth EV model from Mercedes in India, joining the EQB seven-seat SUV, EQE SUV and EQS sedan. The launch of the EQA is part of Mercedes' plan to double its EV offerings to six models by the end of 2024. The Mercedes-Benz EQA facelift was unveiled in August last year for all global markets.

Mercedes-Benz EQA - Design
Talking about its design, the Mercedes EQA features a sleek, crossover-like design that sets it apart from the more upright EQB seven-seat SUV. The EQA has a distinctive grille panel with Mercedes’ signature star pattern and a full-width light bar at the front. At the rear, it shares many design elements with the EQB.
Mercedes-Benz EQA - Interior
Moving inside the Mercedes EQA, it sports the star pattern on the dashboard and door trims. The India-spec EQA is expected to include a touch-capacitive three-spoke steering wheel, a digital driver display, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with the latest operating system and a Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos.
Mercedes-Benz EQA - Battery & Range
Talking about its powertrain, Mercedes has not yet confirmed the battery details or technical specifications for the India-spec EQA. However, in international markets, the EQA is available in four variants - EQA 250, EQA 250+, EQA 300 4Matic and EQA 350 4Matic. The EQA 250+ variant comes with a 70.5kWh battery that provides a range of up to 560 km. The other variants have a 66.5kWh battery pack, offering a maximum range of 528 km.
Mercedes-Benz EQA - Expected Price & Rivals
Coming to the price expectations of the upcoming EQA in India, it is expected to be priced slightly lower than the EQB, which currently sells for Rs 77.75 lakh. Post its launch, the Mercedes’ new entry-level electric SUV will compete with the Volvo XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge, BMW iX1 and even Kia EV6 to some extent.
