The 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV has earned 5-star safety ratings in Euro NCAP crash tests, highlighting its top-notch safety features. The third-generation Tiguan was unveiled last year and is slated to soon be launched in India. In the Euro NCAP tests, the 2024 Tiguan performed exceptionally well in protecting adults, children and vulnerable road users, and in safety assistance features.

2024 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV - Euro NCAP Safety Rating
Talking about its 5-star safety ratings in the Euro NCAP safety crash tests, Volkswagen claims that the Tiguan SUV is the safest vehicle in its class, especially excelling in child occupant protection. According to Euro NCAP crash test data, the 2024 VW Tiguan scored 33.5 points for adult occupant protection, 43.2 points for child occupant protection, 53.5 points for protecting vulnerable road users and 14.2 points for safety assist features.

Talking about the safety features of the Volkswagen Tiguan, it boasts some top-notch safety features such as driver attention monitor and driver alert system, airbags for driver and front passenger, centre airbag and curtain & side airbags in front & rear, autonomous emergency braking front assist with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring, lane assist, lane change system side assist, rear traffic alert, front cross traffic assist, oncoming vehicle braking when turning and swerve support, exit warning system, park distance control, rear view camera system, dynamic road sign display, car2x warning system, hill start assist, i-Size compatible new safety standard for child seats, child presence detection system and emergency call service.

2024 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV - Launch In India
The latest third-gen Volkswagen Tiguan was unveiled in international markets last year. This new VW Tiguan is anticipated to launch in the Indian market later this year. Volkswagen has also revealed that it has sold over 7.6 million units of the Tiguan worldwide so far. Recently, Volkswagen also displayed the long-wheelbase version of the Tiguan SUV at Auto China 2024.
