Kawasaki KLE Adventure Bike Launch Likely In 2026 In India: What To Expect?

Kawasaki KLE500: Remember when Kawasaki partially revealed its new KLE adventure bike at EICMA 2024? Placed inside the box that read: 'Life's a Rally, Ride It', the Kawasaki KLE featured an inverted front fork with a single-piston Nissin calliper, along with a 21-inch front spoked wheel and twin header pipes with a distinct kink. Below the slogan: the 'KLE' name and 'est.1991', a hark back to the original Kawasaki KLE500 dual-sports motorcycle introduced in 1991. 

Kawasaki KLE Adventure Bike: Teaser Video Details

Fast forward to the present day, and Kawasaki has dropped a teaser video, indicating that the new KLE bike is set to arrive soon. Though yet to be revealed, the upcoming KLE adventure bike is expected to make its global debut at EICMA 2025, followed by its launch in India in early 2026.

According to the teaser video, the new KLE has a steel box-section rear swingarm, single disc brake, and wire-spoked wheels with tube-type tyres. There is also a front fender done in white, green, and grey, while a low-slung exhaust pipe follows a similar route as the 451cc engine on the Ninja 500. 

Kawasaki KLE Adventure Bike: Engine

Engine specifications are yet to be known. However, we expect the new KLE to get the same 451cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine as the Ninja 500. In the Ninja 500, the engine is tuned to develop 45bhp at 9,000rpm and 42.6Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm.

The upcoming Kawasaki KLE could take the same CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route as the Ninja 500, which is currently priced at Rs 5.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
