Kawasaki KLX230 Extended Warranty: Kawasaki has rolled out a 7-year extended warranty programme, providing coverage for engine parts and gearbox components of the KLX230 dual-sport motorcycle. This is in addition to a 3-year standard warranty already available, taking the total period of coverage to 10 years. The extended warranty applies to the 2026 iteration of the dual-sport bike.

Kawasaki's extended warranty plan is priced at Rs 2,499, offering peace of mind to those concerned about replacement costs and long-term reliability. 'With the introduction of this highly affordable 10-year extended warranty, Kawasaki reinforces its commitment to customer satisfaction, reliability, and value for money. Riders can now enjoy the freedom of adventure with the assurance of long-term protection,' Yutaka Yamashita, MD, India Kawasaki Motors, said.

Kawasaki KLX230: Price
This comes after Kawasaki slashed the price of the 2026 Kawasaki KLX230, which now sits at Rs 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom), thanks to the presence of local manufacturing, as well as the implementation of GST 2.0. The 2025 version, on the other hand, is available at Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Kawasaki KLX230: Engine, Hardware, Weight
Powering the KLX230 is a 233cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 6-speed gearbox. Power and torque figures stand at 18bhp and 19Nm, respectively. The bike uses a perimeter frame and features reduced wheel travel (220mm at the front and 223mm at the rear). Both ends get larger disc brakes. The bike sits on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels.
At 139kg (kerb), the KLX230 weighs a substantial 29kg less than the standard Hero Xpulse 210. Its seat height is 880mm, 20mm lower than the Kawasaki KLX230R S.
