Kia Carens Clavis EV:  Kia is gearing up to launch an electric iteration of its Carens Clavis premium MPV offering in India on June 15, 2025. The Carens Clavis was launched in May 2025, and an electric version of the premium MPV was spotted testing in the country recently. The Carens Clavis EV might become the most affordable electric MPV with its launch. Here is how.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Pricing

Currently, the electric MPV segment in India has limited offerings, and the most affordable of them is BYD’s eMax 7. Prices for the eMax 7 electric MPV in the country start at Rs 26.90 lakhs. The Kia Carens Clavis, on the other hand, is expected to have a starting price tag of Rs 19.50 lakhs (Ex-showroom). If the brand launches its premium electric MPV in the country with our expected price tag, the electric Carens Clavis will become the ‘Most Affordable Electric MPV’ in the country.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Design

The Kia Carens Clavis EV is expected to look largely the same as its ICE model; however, some small elements might differentiate it from the current model on sale. In terms of features, the Kia Carens Clavis is expected to mirror its ICE counterpart. The electric Carens Clavis is expected to come equipped with the same set of screens, Level 2 ADAS, Hill start assist control, six airbags, Vehicle stability management, brake assist system, and more.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Range

The upcoming Kia Carens Clavis is expected to share its battery with the Hyundai Creta Electric. The electric Kia Carens Clavis is expected to offer two battery packs, a 42 kWh and a 51.4 kWh. While the smaller battery pack has a claimed range of up to 390 Km on a full charge, the larger battery pack has a claimed range of up to 473 kilometres once fully charged. It is expected to feature an electric motor at its front axle, which can generate 133 hp and 168 Nm of torque. It should be noted that these range figures are tentative, and they might change due to the large size of the Carens Clavis.
