Kia Carens Clavis EV: Kia launched its premium seven-seater MPV, the Carens Clavis, in India in May 2025. The brand is all set to launch the electric version of the Carens Clavis in the country on July 15. Meanwhile, details regarding the features, range, and design of the Carens Clavis EV have been revealed today, ahead of its official launch.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Range
The Kia Carens Clavis EV will share its battery pack with the Hyundai Creta electric, and it gets a 51.4 kWh battery. The brand claims that the Kia Carens Clavis EV can deliver a range of up to 490 kilometers once fully charged. We expect that the brand will add another variant with a smaller battery to the Carens Clavis EV lineup, as the Hyundai Creta EV is also available with a smaller 42 kWh battery pack. We also expect that the Kia Carens Clavis EV will be priced between Rs 16.50 lakhs (Ex-showroom) to Rs 19.50 lakhs (Ex-showroom), which might make it the most affordable electric MPV in India.

Kia Carens Clavis EV: Features
The Kia Carens Clavis EV will share its cabin largely with the regular Carens Clavis; however, the central console of the upcoming electric MPV looks different. The central console of Clavis ICE features a gear lever, whereas the one on Clavis EV gets a storage bin. The electric Carens Clavis shares its dual-screen setup with the ICEC counterpart. The electric Carens Clavis will come equipped with features like a dual-zone climate control, a two-spoke steering wheel, ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, and more.
Kia Carens Clavis EV: Design
The Kia Carens Clavis EV looks largely the same as the regular Carens Clavis. However, there are some small changes that set it apart from the latter. The front fascia of the Kia Carens Clavis EV features a Charger lid along with an EV-specific enclosed grille design. The charger is placed on the nose of the vehicle and slightly above the air intake, which is above the number plate. The fog lamps on the Carens Clavis EV are placed lower on the bumpers.
