Kia Carens Facelift Spotted: Kia Carens facelift has recently been spotted testing in South Korea. This three-row MPV was launched in India in February 2022, and its facelift model is expected to be launched in the Indian market next year.

Kia Carens Facelift - Design 

The spy shots of the Carens show it will likely have a new look with changes to the front and rear, especially noticeable in the new C-shaped LED tail-lights. The headlights are not visible in the photos but they're expected to be similar to the updated Seltos model. The Carens will also get new bumpers, alloy wheels and other design tweaks.

Kia Carens Facelift - Interior 

Moving inside, the Kia Carens facelift is expected to maintain its six and seven seater configurations with updates to features and materials. However, exact interior changes aren't revealed in the spy shots. 

Kia Carens Facelift - Engine Specs 

Under the hood, the updated Kia Carens will likely keep its current engine options, including a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 115 bhp, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with 160 bhp and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 116 bhp. Transmission choices will include manual, iMT, and dual-clutch options.

Kia Carens EV

While the spy shots don't confirm if the tested model is petrol or diesel, an all-electric version is also in development. The electric Kia Carens is expected to launch in the second half of 2025 in India. It will have a design similar to the ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) version but with some unique features like a closed-off grille and aero-optimised wheels. The interior of the electric variant may have minor differences, especially in the instrumentation displays due to its EV nature.

The EV's powertrain details are not fully disclosed yet, but it's likely to share components with the Creta EV, including a 45kWh battery pack powered by a motor producing a power output of 138 bhp and 255 Nm of torque.
