Korean automaker Kia celebrated ‘Kia EV Day’ on October 12 and showcased their EV line-up that consists of the currently sold EV6 and the EV9 and three new models that comprised the production-spec EV5 and two new concepts of EV3 SUV and EV4 sedan. Kia has already launched the EV6 in almost all international markets including India and will soon be launching the Kia EV9 globally with the three new models also expected to be launched soon.

Kia EV4
One of the concept EVs shown is the Kia EV4 which is a sedan resembling the existing EV6. It features distinctive design elements that include vertically positioned headlights and taillights, a bumper up front with a large air intake, a sporty and tapered roofline, prominent shoulder lines and minimalistic interior. Additionally, the Kia EV4 will introduce new 'Mind Modes' for ambient lighting adjustments and animated ventilation patterns, a ‘Perform Mode’ where the information for peak performance is presented and a ‘Serenity Mode’ for digital graphics to create a relaxed ambience.
Kia EV3
The EV3 will be Kia's new entry-level electric SUV, sharing design elements with larger models like the existing EV9 and production-spec EV5. It features a compact yet stylish design with a boxy profile, steeply raked windscreen, subtly tapered roofline in the back, large alloy wheels, hand-crafted and eco-friendly materials in the interior.

Kia EV5 Production-Spec SUV
Kia's EV5 SUV was recently unveiled as a global product, produced in China and Korea for global markets. The EV5 will be available in three variants: standard, long-range, and long-range AWD. The standard model gets a 64kWh battery and a 160kW motor, providing a 530 km range. The long-range version features an 88kWh battery and the same motos for a 720 km range. The top-spec long-range AWD boasts an 88kWh battery pack, a front-wheel 160kW motor and a rear-wheel 70kW motor that produce a total output of 230kW offering a claimed driving range of 650 km. The five-seat interior of the EV5 features various seating layouts and gets three different touchscreens for infotainment, vehicle info and HVAC controls along with advanced ADAS tech and V2L feature. A performance-oriented GT variant of the Kia EV5 is also expected to launch later on.
