Kia EV9: South Korean automaker Kia recently debuted the Kia EV9 for all international markets. Kia EV9 is the second electric model by the manufacturer after the Kia EV6. The Kia EV9 has been crowned the most popular model among women in the Women's World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) awards. The Kia EV9 was first unveiled as a concept at the Auto Expo in January last year and has since been launched in global markets. Kia EV9 is expected to be launched in the Indian market later this year.
Kia EV9 - Performance
The Kia EV9 is built on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) which is also used in the Hyundai Ioniq 5. In terms of performance, the Kia EV9 boasts an estimated range of 541 km on a single charge. It is powered by a 150 kW electric motor, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.4 seconds. The RWD version of the EV9 features a more powerful 160 kW electric motor, enabling it to reach 0-100 km/h in 8.2 seconds. The EV9's 800-volt electrical architecture enables ultra-fast charging, with Kia claiming a range of 239 km with just 15 minutes of charging.
Kia EV9 - Interior
On the inside of the Kia EV9, it boasts premium features such as a curved digital screen that stretches from the driver's seat to the centre console. It is available in seven and six-seater configurations, offering various second-row seating arrangements and the second-row seats can swivel 180 degrees. The EV9 GT-Line variant is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that enables hands-free driving on highways due to its highway driving pilot feature, offering Level 3 ADAS features.

Kia EV9 - Expected Price & Launch
Post its launch, the Kia EV9 is expected to be priced between Rs 90 lakh and Rs 1.20 crore (ex-showroom) in India. Kia EV9 is anticipated to be launched in India towards the end of 2024.
