The Indian automotive sector is experiencing a substantial growth phase, with international automakers penetrating the market by introducing their vehicles previously launched in overseas markets. Notable industry players such as Honda and Kia are strategically preparing to introduce a greater variety of their vehicles within the country. This initiative is aimed at meeting the continuously surging demand for cars in India. Below is the list of cars which will make their debut in the Indian market by next year.
- Honda Elevate
The next-generation Honda WR-V has been launched in Indonesia, and it will probably arrive in India as the Honda Elevate. The Honda Elevate will feature an SUV-like style and design, though it will have a 5-seat capacity, making it a sub-compact SUV. A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch semi-digital driver's display, automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, and a single-pane sunroof are all included in the Elevate. The Honda Elevate will come equipped with the same engine as the Honda City which is a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 121 bhp/145 Nm torque paired with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The Honda Elevate could be priced at Rs 11 lakh onwards (ex-showroom).
- Kia Carnival
Kia discontinued the sales of their renowned Carnival in India earlier this year as the new generation Carnival will be launched in the coming year. The exterior looks of the new version will have major upgrades. It might be offered in India with the same 2.2-litre diesel engine that powered the previous model. It might have features like wing-out headrests, a 12-inch infotainment system, and a digital instrument panel. Kia might introduce the new Carnival midway through 2024 at a starting price of Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom).

- Kia EV9
Kia will be launching another car in India, the much anticipated Kia EV9. It is predicted that its pricing will begin at Rs 80 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV9 is likely to receive a large battery pack with a 482 km claimed range. Due to its platform's fast charging capacity of up to 350kW, the battery could be charged from 0 to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes. Some features in the upcoming EV include 180-degree rotating second-row seats and two 12.3-inch touchscreens combined with a 5-inch display inside.
