South Korean automaker Kia has brought in a 6-speed manual transmission option with the 1.5-litre diesel engine for its Seltos SUV. The Kia Seltos facelift was launched in July 2023, however, it was launched without any manual transmission option for the diesel engine. Now, as the Hyundai Creta facelift has been launched with a manual transmission available with its diesel engine. Its Korean sibling, Seltos is also catching up on the trend and has been updated with the same.

The Kia Seltos SUV is now available with five new variants that offer the manual transmission option. The diesel variants that will be offered with the 6-speed manual transmission unit are HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. Along with this addition, the diesel variants of the Seltos now provide three transmission options, including the Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) and 6-speed torque converter.

Kia Seltos Diesel Engine With Manual Gearbox - Price 

Kia India has priced the diesels variants with manual transmission of the Seltos compact SUV from Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom) that go up to Rs 18.27 lakh (ex-showroom). Prices for all the diesel variants with the 6-speed manual gearbox of the Kia Seltos are; Rs 11.99 lakh for the HTE variant, Rs 13.59 lakh for the HTK variant, Rs 14.99 lakh for the HTK+variant, Rs 16.67 lakh for the HTX variant and Rs 18.27 lakh for the HTX+ variant.

Kia Seltos - Powertrain 

Apart from the 1.5-litre diesel engine, the Kia Seltos is offered with a 1.5-litre NA petrol engine and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. In terms of transmission, it is available with an additional 7DCT transmission unit for the turbo-petrol engine and CVT gearbox for the NA petrol engine. Power outputs for all these three engines are 115 bhp/144 Nm for the NA petrol engine, 116bhp/250 Nm of torque for the diesel engine and 160 bhp/253 Nm of torque for the turbo-petrol engine.
