South Korean automaker Kia has reduced the price of its flagship SUV in India, Kia Seltos. These price reductions are followed by the removal of a feature from the SUV. Kia has reduced the prices of Seltos variants above the HTX trim but the X-Line variants will continue to be sold at their current prices.

2023 Kia Seltos - Price Reduction

This move to lower prices comes shortly after Kia had announced a price increase of up to Rs 30,000 just a month ago. Kia launched the facelifted Seltos SUV in India in July 2023 at a starting price of Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It will now be priced approximately Rs 2,000 lower based on the specific variants.

The Seltos SUV's price has been lowered down by removing a feature. Except for the X-Line variant, all other Seltos variants, which originally had one-touch rolling for all windows, will now have this feature limited to the driver's side window. The X-Line variant will still retain the one-touch feature for all windows.

The price reduction of Rs 2,000 applies to specific variants such as the manual and iMT variants of HTX and HTX Plus with petrol and diesel engines, as well as the DCT and automatic variants of the GTX Plus variants with turbocharged petrol and diesel engines. After the price reduction, the HTX variants will be available at Rs 15.18 lakh instead of Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom) while the GTX Plus variants will be available at starting price of Rs 19.38 lakh (ex-showroom).
