Kia Sonet Facelift vs Tata Nexon; Prices, Engine Specs And Features Compared

South Korean brand Kia has launched the facelift of its popular compact SUV model, Kia Sonet in India. Kia Sonet was first launched in India in 2020 and has received immense praise in the Indian market. Kia Sonet facelift has been introduced with significant modifications in terms of design and the inclusion of new features in the compact SUV. Kia India has not yet revealed the prices of the Sonet facelift but post its official launch, it will compete with models like Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300 and Hyundai Venue. Here’s a quick look at the comparison of the new Kia Sonet facelift and Tata’s bestseller Nexon compact SUV.

Kia Sonet 

Price - Kia has not yet revealed the prices of the Sonet facelift but it is expected that it will be priced between Rs 8 lakh and Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Engine - Kia Sonet is available with three engine options - 1.2-litre petrol engine (83 bhp), 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (120 bhp) and 1.5-litre diesel engine (116 bhp). 

Features - 2024 Kia Sonet is offered with some top-notch features such as Level 1 ADAS, 70 connected car features that includes Find My Car, hinglish commands, valet mode, BOSE premium speaker system, dual-screen connected panel that includes the 10.25 inches digital instrument cluster and 10.25 inches infotainment touchscreen, 360 degree camera with blind view monitor, four-way power driver’s seat, rear door sunshade curtain, all door power window and Smartpure air purifier.

Tata Nexon

Price - Tata Nexon is available with prices ranging from Rs 8.10 lakh to Rs 15.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Engine - Tata Nexon is offered with two engine options - a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. Both these engine options churn a power output of 120 bhp/170 Nm of torque and 115 bhp/260 Nm of torque. 

Features - Tata Nexon is equipped with some advanced features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, auto AC, wireless phone charging, ventilated and height-adjustable front seats, cruise control, 9-speaker JBL sound system and a 360-degree camera.
