Japanese carmaker Lexus earlier in April showcased its upcoming MPV, the Lexus LM. Now, the carmaker has shared a teaser of the upcoming car, which is set to hit the Indian market soon. However, the actual launch date has not been announced by Lexus, but it is likely that the MPV will be launched by this year's end. The Lexus LM will compete with Toyota Vellfire and Kia Carnival in the MPV category.

Lexum LM: Platform, Engine and Exterior Design
The Lexus LM is built on the TNGA-K platform, which is reported to be 50% more firm than its predecessor and shares its foundation with the Toyota Vellfire. The new Lexus LM includes two petrol-hybrid engine choices. The Lexus LM350h will offer the 2.5-liter self-charging hybrid engine that is seen in other Toyota and Lexus cars, which also comes standard with four-wheel drive. This might be the powertrain choice for India too.
A wraparound LED light bar that runs over the rear fascia and a big, vertical grille are among the exterior changes made to the 2024 Lexus LM. In order to hide the slab-sided appearance in the profile, a modified glasshouse and minor creases along the length are used. The Lexus LM overseas offers two different seating arrangements. It sits on a set of 17- or 19-inch alloy wheels and has sliding doors on both sides.

The LM has a 48-inch widescreen display that divides the driver's cabin from the back seat, airline-style recliner seats, a 23-speaker surround sound audio system, pillow-style headrests, a refrigerator, and an advanced air-conditioning system that can detect a passenger's body temperature in their face, chest, thighs, and lower legs. A glass panel that can be raised or lowered and dimmed is also available for more privacy.
