Nissan Magnite Export from India: Nissan Motor India has exported 12 lakh made-in-India cars to international markets since commencing overseas shipments, reflecting the brand's commitment to its 'Make in India, Make for the World' strategy. The 12,00,000th export unit bound for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region departed from Kamarajar Port, Tamil Nadu, about two days ago. The milestone unit was the new Magnite compact SUV, which Nissan exclusively manufactures at its Chennai plant.
Magnite: Central to Nissan's Export Strategy
The made-in-India Nissan Magnite is shipped to 65 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. Although Nissan also sells the 7-seat X-Trail in the country, the vehicle was brought in as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) and has been struggling to keep up with its competitors in terms of sales.
Nissan currently exports only the Magnite from India, which is available in either left-hand or right-hand drive configurations, depending on the market. The Magnite was introduced in India in 2020 and received a facelift about a year ago. It features two petrol engines under its hood: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated unit paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT, and a 1.0-litre turbocharged engine that gets either a 5-speed manual or a CVT. A CNG variant is also available. Prices for the Magnite start at Rs 6.14 lakh (ex-showroom)
Besides the Magnite, Nissan has also exported the Sunny, the Kicks, and the Micra overseas since the commencement of its export operations from India.

The Nissan Magnite continues to be a global success story, representing our focus on design, quality, and innovation that transcends borders,' said Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan India.
Upcoming Nissan Launches
Nissan is gearing up to launch its Tekton C-SUV in India next year. The model is expected to be exported to select international markets. Moreover, the brand is also readying its Renault Triber-based seven-seat MPV, which could debut by the end of this year or in early 2026.
