Mahindra Thar 5-Door: Mahindra & Mahindra, a leading automobile manufacturer is speculated to be working on the Thar 5-door off-road SUV. The Mahindra Thar 5-door off-road SUV is expected to be launched in India in February 2023. Ahead of its launch, the highly anticipated 5-door Thar has been spotted testing several times, revealing key details about the SUV.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door - Design
In terms of exterior design, the upcoming 5-door Thar is expected to feature new styling elements like a revamped front grille, LED fog lamps, LED headlights, and DRLs. Additionally, it is also expected to get new alloy wheels, redesigned tail lights and refreshed color schemes. Moreover, there is a possibility that the 5-door Thar will be exclusively available in a hardtop variant.
Mahindra Thar 5-Door - Interior
Talking about the interior, the Mahindra Thar 5-Door is expected to feature a redesigned dashboard with a dual-tone theme and a bigger touchscreen infotainment system. The SUV will come equipped with a digital instrument cluster, along with new features such as armrests for the front row, a leather-wrapped steering wheel featuring mounted controls and circular AC vents.
Mahindra Thar 5-Door - Engine Specs
The Mahindra 5-door Thar, is likely to continue to retain the existing engine configuration as the current 3-door Thar. The powertrain options for the 3-door variant are a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The diesel engine produces 130 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque, while the turbo petrol engine is capable of delivering 152 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque.

Mahindra Thar 5-Door - Expected Price
Once the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-door is launched, it will be positioned between the current-generation Thar and Mahindra’s popular SUV model, the XUV700. Therefore, it is fair to expect that the pricing for the new 5-door Thar will start above Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom) and will go up to Rs 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
