Mahindra Thar Facelift Interior Spotted, Shows Bigger Touchscreen, 3-Spoke Steering Wheel And More

Mahindra Thar 3 Door Facelift: The 3-door Mahindra Thar is expected to receive a mid-life update in the coming months. While the upcoming Thar model has been spotted earlier undergoing test trials, latest images snapped from a dealer stockyard reveal new details. Based on the images, it is clear that the new Mahindra Thar will feature significant cosmetic and feature updates. 

Mahindra Thar Facelift: Latest Spy Image Details

Though covered with wraps, we expect a grille similar to the Thar Roxx. Alongside, revised LED signatures for both headlamps and taillamps are also on the cards.

The variant in the images is a rear-wheel-drive unit and gets the familiar 18-inch alloy wheels and upright stance. Furthermore, the spy images confirm the presence of a reverse parking camera, courtesy of an infotainment system relaying the feed from the camera. 

Speaking of, the infotainment touchscreen is similar to the one found on the Thar Roxx. There is also a three-spoke steering wheel, a front armrest with cupholders, and a wireless charging pad, as well as new door trims with power window switches.

Mahindra Thar: Engine

Coming to the powertrains, the Thar facelift is likely to continue with 2.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel, and 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine options, while geabox options are expected to be the following: 6-speed manual (standard) and 6-speed torque converter automatic. The Thar Roxx's new electric power steering system is likely to be carried over. 

Upon arrival, the Thar facelift will renew its rivalry with Force Gurkha, while facing some competition from the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
