Mahindra XEV 9e, BE 6 Electric SUVs Hit A Milestone, Clock 20,000 Combined Sales In 5 Months

Mahindra's Born Electric SUVs: The XEV 9e and BE 6, Mahindra's two electric-origin SUVs, have surpassed the 20,000 cumulative sales mark in the domestic market, according to a recent announcement made by Mahindra. It took the electric SUVs 5 months to achieve this significant milestone. Having surpassed the 4,000-unit combined sales mark in July 2025, the SUVs have so far clocked 9.3 crore kilometres, courtesy of a long-range battery pack.

Mahindra XEV 9e Vs BE 6: Design

Launched in November 2024, Mahindra's born-electric SUVs are based on Mahindra's new INGLO platform. Despite both being electric-origin vehicles, they are a lot different on the outside. Whereas the XEV 9e has smoother curves and flowing lines, the BE 6 features an edgy design with sharper lines. 

Mahindra XEV 9e: Price, Range

The XEV 9e is Mahindra's flagship electric SUV, priced from Rs 21.90 lakh to Rs 31.25 lakh (ex-showroom, exclusive of the charger). It comes in 4 variants (Pack One, Pack Two, Pack Three Select, Pack Three) and comes in two battery configurations (59kWh, 79kWh). The 59kWh battery pack yields 542km, while the larger battery pack returns a 656km range. Both are MIDC figures.

Mahindra BE 6: Price, Range

The BE 6 is smaller of the two electric SUVs and more affordable. Its prices start at Rs 18.90 (exclusive of the charger, ex-showroom). The BE 6 also comes with the same LFP battery packs and rear-mounted motor, but offers different ranges. According to MIDC, the smaller battery delivers 535km, while the larger one returns 682. According to Mahindra, the real-world tested range for both the SUVs is 500+ kilometres.
