The Indian car market has become the third largest in the world as the automobile industry of the country continues to grow. Indian consumers have started paying more attention to several factors while buying new cars. Some of these factors include safety, technological features, comfort and performance. Earlier, Indian consumers used to buy new cars on the basis of mileage and price, which is still considered by a lot of buyers in the country. However, there have been significant changes and people now also consider how a certain vehicle performs when driven at high speeds. Therefore, we have curated a list of vehicles available in India that offer superior stability even while driving at high speeds.

Honda City
Honda City is capable of achieving a top speed of 180 km/h. It is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that generates a power output of 121 bhp and 145 Nm of torque. The City sedan has a stiff body structure and chassis that allows it to stay stable and balanced even during high speeds.
Mahindra XUV700
Mahindra XUV700 is claimed to reach a top speed between 160 km/h and 200 km/h. The XUV700 also stays quite stable even at high speeds due to its good quality suspension system. The Mahindra XUV700 is available with two engine options - a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Both these engines are capable of producing a power output of 200 bhp and 185 bhp, respectively.
Tata Safari
Tata Safari is another powerful SUV model sold in India, with its top speed capabilities going up to over 175 km/h. Tata Safari is one of the safest cars sold in India as it recently received a 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests. Additionally, Tata is known to produce high quality vehicles. Tata Safari is equipped with a 2-litre diesel engine that churns out a power output of 170 bhp and 350 Nm of torque.
Skoda Slavia
Skoda Slavia is one of the popular sedan models available in India. It is said to reach a top speed of 190 km/h while offering enhanced performance. While Skoda is a Czech brand, it is looked after by the VW Group. The VW Group is known for its durable and high performing models across the globe. Skoda Slavia is available with two-engine options - a 1-litre turbo petrol engine and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Both these engines produce a power output of 115 bhp and 150 bhp, respectively.

Volkswagen Virtus
Volkswagen Virtus is the mechanical counterpart of Skoda Slavia and is considered to be a high-performance mass market sedan in the country. Like the Slavia, the Virtus can reach a top speed of 190 km/h and offers a thrilling and stable driving experience. Virtus and Slavia are built on the same platform and are equipped with the same engine options - a 1-litre turbo petrol engine and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine. Both these engines produce a power output of 115 bhp and 150 bhp, respectively.
