Maruti Suzuki Price Hike: The Reason

Due to inflationary pressure and rising input costs, the Indian automotive industry is currently under pressure, and the recently announced car price hike by Maruti Suzuki can be attributed to the very same reason. In its regulatory filing, the brand has mentioned that it has been working continuously to tackle the rising costs through internal efficiency measures for the past few months. However, due to increasing input costs, logistics expenses, and rising commodity prices, the brand has now decided to pass on a small portion of the burden to the consumers.
