Maruti Ciaz Safety: The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz was recently put to the test for its safety by the Global NCAP (GNCAP). The sedan from the largest car manufacturer in India has scored a 1-star safety rating in the crash test organised by the GNCAP. The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been discontinued in India, and production was also stopped around March 2025. Let’s take a look at the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz crash test results and its safety features.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Safety: Crash Test Results
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has scored 20.86 points out of a total of 34 points in the Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) section. The sedan from Maruti also scored 28.57 points out of a total of 49 points for the Child Occupant Protection (COP) section. The GNCAP did not test the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz for the side pole impact, as the sedan misses out on curtain airbags.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz Safety Vs Rivals
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes equipped with safety features such as dual airbags, ABS with EBD (electronic brake force distribution), reverse parking sensors, an ISOFIX child seat mount, Electronic Stability Programme (ESP), and hill hold assist. As informed earlier, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been discontinued in the country. It used to compete against the likes of Hyundai Verna, Skoda Slavia, and Volkswagen Virtus, and all of these cars have a 5-star safety rating from GNCAP.
