Maruti Suzuki Fronx Safety:  The Maruti Suzuki Fronx was introduced in India in 2023, and it has remained a popular SUV in the country ever since. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx was recently tested for its safety by the Australasian NCAP (ANCAP) by performing a crash test. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx managed to score only a 1-star safety rating in the crash test organised by the ANCAP. Maruti Suzuki Fronx ANCAP Performance

The ANCAP crash test of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx has raised serious concerns about the SUV’s safety. The Maruti Suzuki Fronx scored 48 per cent points in terms of Adult Occupant Protection, and it also scored 40 per cent points in terms of Child Occupant Protection. The compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki scored 65 per cent in terms of Vulnerable Road User Protection, and it also scored 55 per cent points in the Safety Assist category.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx Safety: Serious Concerns

The ANCAP highlighted a major safety concern for the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. During the full-width frontal crash test, the rear seatbelt retractor failed, and the seatbelt was released in an uncontrolled manner. The ANCAP has described the failure of the seatbelt retractor as a rare but serious concern, and it has also formerly reported this to the safety regulators of Australia and New Zealand.

Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Feature-Packed Poor Performance

The tested variant of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx comes equipped with features such as Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitors, adaptive cruise control, and speed sign recognition. However, it misses out on a centre airbag, rear seatbelt pre-tensioners, AEB Head-on, and a direct driving monitoring system, which resulted in the SUV accumulating a low score.
