There were speculations that the new Swift will be launched with a mild-hybrid powertrain, however, this new Swift doesn't get mild-hybrid technology. The new engine is paired with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT gearbox. It churns out a power output of 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, which is a bit less than before. The bright side to the incorporation of this new engine is that it can cover more distance on less fuel, with an impressive mileage of 25.72 kilometres per litre.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift - Design
The new Swift gets a refreshed design with noticeable changes. It keeps the essence of the older models but has a new all-black grille, redesigned LED headlights and daytime running lights (DRLs) and the rear door handles are now on the doors instead of the C-pillar. The back of the car also has updated taillights and new alloy wheels. It also gets diamond-cut alloy wheels for the top-spec variants.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift - Interior
The interior of the new Swift has been redesigned to give it a more premium feel, similar to the Fronx, Brezza and Baleno models. It now comes with a new 7-inch touchscreen for music and phone connections like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There's also an updated digital display for the speedometer and other information. The high-end variants have a bigger 9-inch touchscreen, a 360-degree camera, Head-up Display, wireless charging, rear AC vents, and other features.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift - Safety Features
The new Swift is much safer than its predecessor as it is now equipped with six airbags as standard across all variants. It includes features like Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist. This is a big step up from the old Swift, which only had two airbags even in the higher variants.
