Maruti Suzuki is among the top-sellers of automobiles in India and has captured the market in almost all segments of the industry such as hatchbacks, sedans and SUVs. Maruti and its Japanese counterpart are now planning to enter the EV segment of the country with the Maruti Suzuki eVX. Apart from the eVX, Maruti Suzuki also showcased the new-gen Swift at the Tokyo Motor Show in November which is also expected to hit the Indian market soon. Here’s a quick look at upcoming Maruti Suzuki vehicles in the country.

Maruti Suzuki Swift

Japanese manufacturer Suzuki along with Maruti has introduced the new-gen Swift for Japanese markets. The Maruti Suzuki Swift facelift is expected to be launched in the Indian market in the upcoming months. Its exterior and interior have been redesigned as it gets new elements like new headlights, new tail lamps and a revamped bumper. Within its interior it gets new features like a new dual-tone dashboard, a free-standing 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a new digital driver display. It will be powered by a new 1.2-litre petrol engine and will be offered in two powertrain options- a naturally aspirated three-cylinder engine and a 12V mild hybrid powertrain. This mill will churn a power output of 85 bhp and 108 Nm of torque. 

Maruti Suzuki eVX

Maruti Suzuki recently announced that its first ever EV - eVX’s production will commence at Suzuki Motor's Gujarat facility in 2024 with its launch scheduled for the later part of the year. Maruti Suzuki has revealed some significant details about the eVX which are that it measures 4,300 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and has a height of 1,600 mm. It is anticipated to provide a driving range of around 550 km on a single charge and will be equipped with a 60 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Notable design features of the Maruti Suzuki eVX include LED headlights, a closed front grille and connected LED tail lights. Within its interior, it boasts a sizable free-standing digital dual-screen for the infotainment system and driver display and a two-spoke steering wheel.

Maruti Suzuki Dzire facelift

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire, a sub-compact sedan, has been awaiting a significant facelift since its launch nearly nine years ago. Despite the absence of major updates, it continues to dominate the sedan market in India. While Maruti Suzuki has not officially announced the launch timeline for the Dzire facelift, it is anticipated to receive updates similar to the new-gen Swift. It could be equipped with the same 1.2-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine and similar updates in its interior and features.
