Maruti Suzuki WagonR, a top-seller hatchback model sold in India is set to receive a facelift soon. Test mule of the WagonR facelift has recently been spotted testing in India without any camouflaging elements. The spotted prototype looks a lot like the WagonR EV which was supposed to be Maruti Suzuki’s first EV model in the country. However, the WagonR EV is not being worked on anymore due to production cost factor issues.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR Facelift - Design
Since the WagonR EV will not be coming to the Indian market anymore, Maruti Suzuki could be considering launching the Wagon R facelift with a similar design. The prototype features a revamped bumper design with relocated reflectors and black cladding on the lower section for a more rugged appearance. The bumper also gets two parking sensors, though the tail light design is not visible.
On the front fascia, the WagonR facelift is expected to get a modified grille, new headlight cluster and revamped bumper design. From the side, it is expected to get new alloys and new wheel covers as well. Within its interiors, the Maruti Suzuki WagonR is expected to get advanced elements like a new infotainment system with new upholstery themes to make the hatchback a competitive offering in the segment.
Maruti Suzuki WagonR Facelift - Powertrain
Talking about the powertrain, it is expected to be equipped with the existing powertrain options which includes 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2-litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. Both these engines produce a power output of 67 bhp and 90 bhp, respectively. It will be available with the same manual and AMT gearbox options. Maruti Suzuki will also continue to offer the CNG engine option as well.

Maruti Suzuki WagonR Facelift - Price
The current-gen Maruti Suzuki WagonR is priced between Rs 5.54 lakh and Rs 7.42 lakh (ex-showroom). The upcoming WagonR facelift is expected to be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model.
