Maruti Suzuki XL6 Safety: Maruti Suzuki XL6 will now come equipped with 6 airbags as a standard feature. The brand is currently focusing on enhancing passenger safety in its cars, and recently it upgraded its Baleno and Ertiga models with the same upgrade. The upgrade of 6 airbags as standard comes with a price hike as well, and here we are explaining all the details of these upgrades to you.
Maruti Suzuki XL6: Price Hiked
The addition of 6 airbags is a hardware upgrade, and thus, it is liable for a price hike. The XL6 by Maruti is priced between Rs 11.84 lakhs (Ex-showroom) and Rs 14.99 lakhs (Ex-showroom). The brand has implemented the change with immediate effect, and it will result in a price hike of Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000 depending on the trim.

Government And Safety
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways recently made it mandatory for all upcoming cars to have 6 airbags as standard by October 2025. Maruti Suzuki’s decision to upgrade its vehicles with the feature is in line with the government’s aim. Most of the other car brands in the country are also implementing the change in their vehicles. India’s largest car manufacturer has upgraded most of its cars with the standard 6 airbag feature.

Maruti Suzuki XL6: Safety & Engine
Earlier, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 had only four airbags, but with this upgrade, the car has a new list of safety features offered with it. The car now comes equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), a 360-degree camera, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). The Maruti Suzuki XL6 draws its power from a 1.5-liter petrol engine paired with a mild hybrid technology, and it can generate 102 hp and 137 Nm of torque.
