McLaren GTS - Engine

At the heart, the McLaren GTS is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which is also equipped in the McLaren GT. Though, the manufacturer has tuned this engine to produce an extra 14 bhp of power which results in a total power output of 617 bhp and 630 Nm of torque. This V8 mill is coupled with a seven-speed sequential shift gearbox for smooth transmission.

McLaren GTS - Performance

The new McLaren GTS’ performance is additionally enhanced by bringing down the weight of the supercar by 10 kg. The curb weight of the GTS stands at 1,520 kg owing to the carbon fibre elements in the car such as a new roof panel and the rear upper structure. Additionally, optional titanium lug nuts are available that make the GTS 35 per cent lighter than standard wheel bolts. All of these elements contributing to the overall weight reduction of the McLaren GTS, the supercar’s speed has doubled compared to its predecessor. The manufacturer claims that the new GTS can accelerate from 0-96 km/h in just 3.1 seconds and is capable of achieving a top speed of 326 km/h.
