Mercedes Electric G Class: Mercedes-Benz, the renowned German luxury car manufacturer, has issued a recall for one of its most popular models in the world, the Mercedes-Benz electric G Wagon. The recall will affect a limited 99 units of the electric Mercedes G-Class manufactured between July 12, 2024, and August 18, 2025. Let’s take a look at why the brand has issued a recall.
Mercedes-Benz Electric G Wagon Recalled: The Issue
As per the official information by the brand, the recently issued recall addresses a potential issue related to the wheel bolt integrity of the 99 units. The wheel bolts may not meet the strict technical specifications of the brand. Over time, the bolt may end up loosening during regular vehicle operations. The loosening of this bolt could end up compromising the driving stability of the vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz Electric G Wagon Recall: What’s Next?
The brand has issued a recall, and it is expected to follow a standard procedure. The brand will now contact the owners of the affected units of the Mercedes-Benz electric G-Wagon, and the required repairs will be carried out at the Mercedes-Benz dealerships. The brand will investigate to verify the integrity of the wheel bolt, and if required, it will be replaced.

Mercedes-Benz Electric G Wagon: A Look
The Mercedes-Benz electric G Wagon comes equipped with the brand’s EQ technology, and it is a blend of traditional SUV design with a modern electric powertrain. The electric G Wagon is powered by a 116 kWh battery pack, and it has a claimed WLTP range of 473 kilometres, once fully charged. The SUV also supports DC fast charging of up to 200 kW, and it can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in just 32 minutes. The G Wagon EV is equipped with four electric motors, and it has a combined power output of 587 hp, which enables it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
