Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric SUV: Mercedes-Benz recently debuted its all-new electric GLC SUV with EQ technology at IAA Mobility 2025, scheduled to take place from September 9 to September 14 in Munich, Germany. The new GLC EV is an electric derivative of Mercedes-Benz's globally bestselling GLC. Here's a close look at its top highlights:
New Platform, Two Drivetrains
Featuring a dedicated all-electric MB.EA platform, the new GLC electric SUV will be offered in two powertrain options in the international market – GLC 300+ RWD (rear-wheel drive) and GLC 400 4Matic AWD (all-wheel drive). The single motor setup of the GLC 300+ makes 369bhp/504Nm, while the dual-motor system churns out 483bhp/808Nm. Top speed is capped at 210km/h.
High Energy-Dense Battery, 713km Range
Each setup comes with a 94kWh NMC battery, which supports a DC fast charger with speeds up to 330kW. The electric SUV returns a WLTP-certified range figure of 713km (GLC 400 AWD) on a single charge. 10 to 80 per cent takes a claimed time of 24 minutes; up to 303km can be added in 10 minutes.

39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen
The new electric SUV features a 39.1-inch 'MBUX Hyperscreen', the largest screen in a Mercedes-Benz to date. The Hyperscreen is a combination of a touchscreen infotainment system, a passenger's display, and a digital driver's display. The brand has ditched touch-sensitive controls in favour of physical buttons for the centre console and steering wheel. A panoramic glass roof, a virtual assistant, and a vegan interior package (optional) also form part of the features list.
Massive Illuminated Grille
On the outside, the electric vehicle's massive grille (with high-tech pixel graphics) stands out. The grille features 942 backlit pixels flanking the illuminated centre star, enabling light animations such as hello and welcome. The EV also has signature star-shaped LEDs, a two-piece roof spoiler, and 20-inch wheels.
