MG Cloud EV Launch In India: MG Motor India is preparing to launch its most premium electric vehicle yet, the MG Cloud EV and is expected to debut in mid-September. Ahead of its launch, the Cloud EV has been seen testing and its patent images have recently surfaced. This new model will be MG’s most luxurious electric vehicle in India, aimed at a higher-end market than the current ZS EV. The Cloud EV will join MG Motor India’s lineup of electric cars, including the Comet EV and ZS EV.

MG Cloud EV - Design & Interior
Talking about its design, the MG Cloud EV is a 4.3-metre crossover and features a stylish exterior with LED lighting, flush door handles and a sleek roofline. Moving inside, it offers a luxurious cabin with high-end features such as a 360-degree camera system, dual digital screens, climate control, connected car technology, Level 2 ADAS driver assistance and powered seats with a sunroof. With its rich feature set, MG is targeting the new-age chauffeur-driven segment, offering a premium electric option.
MG Cloud EV - Battery & Price Expectation
Talking about the battery on the MG Cloud EV, it is likely to be powered by a 50.6kWh battery pack paired with an electric motor, providing a driving range of up to 460 kilometres. It is expected to be priced between Rs 25-28 lakh and the Cloud EV will compete directly with the BYD e6.

In other news, MG Motor India has also announced a price increase for its existing models, the MG Comet EV and the MG ZS EV. The price hike for the ZS EV is capped at Rs 25,000, bringing its price range to Rs 18.98 lakh to Rs 25.44 lakh. The MG Comet EV sees a smaller price increase of up to Rs 13,000, with its revised range starting at Rs 6.99 lakh and reaching Rs 9.53 lakh.
