MG Hector Facelift: India Launch Details

It is expected that the new Hector will be launched in India in the first half of next year. With the 2026 updates, the model is likely to be priced north of Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon arrival, the Hector will renew its rivalry with the likes of the Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier, and the Hyundai Alcazar in the segment.

MG Hector Facelift: Engine

The 2026 is expected to carry over the turbo-petrol and diesel engine options from the outgoing model. That said, there is a chance that the brand might introduce a diesel-AT powertrain, since the Harrier and the Compass are offered with an automatic gearbox option, along with a manual unit. The Hector is currently available with the following gearbox options: 6-speed manual and 8-speed CVT.
