Best-Selling Electric Cars In India:  The MG Windsor emerged as the best-selling electric car in India in 2025. The Windsor left the Tata Punch EV behind, which was the best-selling car in 2024. While Tata remains the segment leader, with 3 out of the top 5 best-selling cars in the country, MG has marked its presence as an emerging leader in the segment.

Electric Vehicle Sales In India 2025

The electric vehicle segment in India marked significant growth in 2025. The MG Windsor EV secured the top position in the sales chart with a total of 19,394 units sold. MG Windsor: Range

The MG Windsor is available in a total of 6 main variants: Excite, Exclusive, Essence, Exclusive Pro, Essence Pro, and Inspire. The MG Windsor is available with two options on offer: a 37.9 kWh battery pack and a 52.9 kWh battery pack. While the trims with the smaller 37.9 kWh battery have a claimed range of 332 km, the trims with the bigger 52.9 kWh battery have a claimed range of up to 449 km, once charged completely.
