Mini Countryman JCW Launch On October 14; Bookings To Start On This Date

Mini Countryman JCW Launch India: Mini India is set to launch its new Countryman JCW (John Cooper Works) SUV on October 14. Upon arrival, the JCW will join the Countryman Electric E and the (limited-edition) Countryman Electric JCW, becoming the only internal combustion engine-powered model in the line-up. Bookings for the upcoming Countryman JCW will commence on September 22, which also marks the first day of Navratri. Prospective buyers can make reservations on Mini's official website or at authorised dealerships in India. Mini's authorised touchpoints include Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune, and Hyderabad.

Mini Countryman JCW: Engine, Performance

The new Mini Countryman JCW will get a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DCT gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. The powertrain setup is capable of producing 296bhp and 400Nm of peak torque, while enabling the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 5.4 seconds.

Mini Countryman JCW: Features

The Mini Countryman John Cooper Works is likely to have a minimalist cabin layout, with JCW-specific design bits such as red accents, contrast stitching, sporty pedals, ambient lighting, and special JCW graphics on the infotainment screens. The same design for the dashboard is expected, though.

Over the regular Countryman, the JCW will add a sportier kit, bringing red brake callipers, larger air intakes, an all-black chequered-flag grille, a roof spoiler, quad exhaust pipes, and a JCW logo.

Mini Countryman JCW: More Details

The Mini Countryman Electric E is priced at Rs 54.90 lakh, while the Electric JCW was launched in India as a limited-edition model at Rs 62 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom. It is unclear whether Mini will retail the Countryman JCW as a limited-edition version. If so, expect the upcoming SUV to command a premium.
