Maruti Suzuki Swift is one of the most popular vehicles in India. Maruti Suzuki has introduced the new Swift which is expected to go on sale by the end of this year. The will be the hatchback's fifth generation model and will feature a revamped exterior design and a new engine setup.
In the last few months, spy images of the new Swift being tested on European roads have surfaced online. Hatchbacks are the second most popular category of cars sold in India and the release of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift will definitely heat up the hatchback segment rivalries.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift - Design
The new Swift is likely to feature a more firm stance, brand-new headlamps and a wider, sleeker front grille. The spy images show that the rear door handles will no longer be designed in the recessed C-pillar style but rather built into the door panels. The new Swift will resemble the previous version in terms of having more vertical pillars and fewer curves on the side profile.

Maruti Suzuki Swift - Interiors
The Swift's interior is expected to include a heads-up display, wireless charging, and a 9-inch Smartplay Pro+ touchscreen infotainment system, among other utility features. Spy images reveal that the car will feature bigger rear windows in order to provide a more spacious interior.
Maruti Suzuki Swift - Powertrain
The new Swift is expected to have modern hybrid technology, combining an internal combustion engine with an electric motor. Suzuki and Toyota have been partnering to develop the hybrid engine option. Along with the 1.2-litre four-cylinder K12C Dualjet petrol engine, the motor in the latest Swift models is claimed to generate 90 bhp of power and 113 Nm of maximum torque.

Maruti Suzuki Swift - Safety Features
Advanced safety technologies like adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, autonomous emergency braking, six airbags, a reverse parking camera, and ABS are all included in the new Swift.
Maruti Suzuki Swift - Launch
The new Swift is anticipated to first debut in Japan and India and a fixed date for the launch remains unknown.
