Honda City Sports Edition:  Honda Cars India has launched a new sports edition of its popular mid-size sedan, the City, in India for an introductory price of Rs 14.89 lakhs (Ex-showroom). The City Sports edition will be limited in number and offered in three colour options: Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic.

Honda City Sports Edition: Engine

The Sports edition of the Honda City sedan will be placed above the entry-level CVT model. It will feature the same 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, which can generate up to 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. However, the City Sports edition will be offered with only a CVT gearbox. The newly launched sports edition costs Rs 49,000 more than the entry-level CVT variant of the mid-size sedan, and it features major cosmetic and interior changes.

Honda City Sports: Features

The all-new Honda City Sports features a blacked-out grille, ORVM covers, alloy wheels, a shark fin antenna, and a boot spoiler. It also has a sports badge to differentiate it from other models. Inside the cabin, the City Sports features blacked-out upholstery on the doors, roof, seats, and pillars. It also features red highlights on the steering wheel, seats, door inserts, and dashboard. The AC vents of the new Honda City Sports edition are finished in a gloss black finish.

Honda City Sports: What’s Different?

The Honda City Sports edition also features major changes that differentiate it from the regular model of the mid-size sedan. It comes equipped with leather upholstery for seats, gear knob, along with steering wheels. The sports edition of the Honda City also features a 7-colour ambient lighting. The list of features on the City Sport edition also includes ADAS, automatic headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front fog lights, and an 8-inch display for the infotainment system.

Honda City Sports: What's Missing?

While the newly launched City sports edition is equipped with some additional features, it also misses out on some features offered with regular trims of the City sedan. The list of missing features on the Honda City Sports Edition includes Rear AC vents, Sunroof, automatic wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and the lane camera.
