New Swift EMI: Maruti Suzuki, one of India’s largest automobile manufacturers, launched the new Swift hatchback for the Indian market on May 9, 2024. The new Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched at a price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom) with the top model being priced at Rs 9.64 lakh (ex-showroom). If you are planning to buy the base variant LXI of the new Swift, it is available at a price of Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, in Delhi, additional costs such as Rs 45,000 for RTO and Rs 36,000 for insurance bring the on-road price to approximately Rs 7.31 lakh. Hence, let’s calculate the monthly EMI payment of the base LXI variant of the new Swift.

If you opt for the LXI variant and make a down payment of Rs 1 lakh, the remaining amount to be financed from the bank would be around Rs 6.31 lakh. Considering a five-year loan term with a nine per cent interest rate, your monthly EMI would be Rs 13,099. Over the course of five years, with this loan amount and interest rate, you'll end up paying approximately Rs 1.54 lakh as interest. This brings the total cost of your new 2024 Swift , including the ex-showroom price, on-road charges and interest, to around Rs 8.85 lakh.
New Maruti Suzuki Swift - Engine
Maruti has upgraded the Swift's engine to a new 1.2-litre 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine. The engine can be paired with either a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT gearbox. It produces a power output of 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, which is slightly lower than the previous version. However, the new engine is more fuel-efficient, offering an impressive mileage of 25.72 kilometres per litre.
