New Tata Altroz Spied Testing:  The Tata Altroz was introduced in 2020, and it has remained one of the most popular models sold by the brand in the country ever since. The brand recently updated the Altroz with a facelift model in 2025. It seems like the brand is planning something new with the Altroz nameplate, as a test mule was recently spied on the Indian roads. Let’s take a look at what can be expected from the new Tata Altroz.

New Tata Altroz: Is It The Turbo Racer?

The new Tata Altroz test mule was heavily camouflaged during the testing. However, a tailpipe is clearly visible in the images, which means that the test mule will be an ICE vehicle and not an electric offering. While the brand launched the new generation Altroz in 2025, it hadn’t launched the Turbo Racer variant of the premium hatchback. It could be possible that the brand is now testing the upgraded Altroz with the turbo petrol engine. The turbo variant of the premium hatchback comes equipped with exclusive features such as ventilated seats, an all-black interior theme, and a turbo petrol engine. The new-generation Altroz misses out on these features, and we expect the brand to offer these with the upcoming new generation of the Tata Altroz.

New Tata Altroz: Is It The E85 Variant?

India is aggressively transitioning from traditional fuels to flex-fuels, and E85 fuel was recently launched in the country. The brand showcased a Tata Punch flex fuel variant at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The brand might be testing several other nameplates for the higher fuel blend compatibility. Thus, the recently spied Tata Altroz test mule could be a prototype being tested for E85 fuel compatibility.
