Kia Carens Clavis CNG: Kia, the South Korean car manufacturer, has announced the commencement of bookings for its upcoming Kia Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG. It is for the first time that the brand will offer factory-fitted CNG cars in the country. Notably, the Carens MPV was available with the option of CNG, but it was offered as a dealer-level fitment.
Kia Carens & Carens Clavis CNG: Expected Features
The Kia Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG are expected to come packed with an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional features are expected to include a rear-view camera, semi-leatherette upholstery, a 6-speaker sound system, electrically adjustable ORVMs, keyless entry, and more.
Kia Carens & Carens Clavis CNG: Powertrain
The Kia Carens and Carens Clavis CNG will be powered by the brand’s 1.5-litre Naturally Aspirated (NA) petrol engine. The engine is expected to generate a peak power and torque output of 93 hp and 123 Nm, respectively. The brand has not yet revealed the fuel efficiency, but we expect it to range between 23 and 26 km/kg.

Kia Carens & Carens Clavis CNG: What Else To Expect?
The brand has shared that it has made several changes to the Carens and Carens Clavis CNG. As per the information shared by the brand, the brand has made changes to the frame of the third-row seats to improve comfort. The brand has further shared that the CNG trims of the MPVs feature a slew of other updates such as a CNG-calibrated engine, tweaked suspension and braking, a fuel-change switch, 16-inch wheels, and more. Both of these models feature a small 4.2-inch TFT screen that shows distance to empty on CNG. Both of these SUVs will also be offered for fleet services.
