Nissan Tekton Launch:  The Nissan Tekton has been launched in India with prices starting from Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tekton was announced for the first time in November 2025, and its launch has been much-awaited ever since. The Nissan Tekton will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki Victoris, Kia Seltos, and other mid-size SUVs in the Indian market. Let’s take a look at the design, features, and engine specifications of the newly launched Nissan Tekton.

Nissan Tekton India: Design

The Nissan Tekton comes equipped with an upright and muscular stance inspired by its larger sibling, the Nissan Patrol. The Tekton features a front fascia that comprises vertical LED DRLs with a connected LED light bar and a gloss black grille with an illuminated Nissan logo. A red strip runs between the grille. The front fascia of the Tekton also features a chunky silver bash plate at the front, and fog lamps are placed lower on the bumper. On the sides, it gets squared wheel arches with black body cladding, traditional pull-type door handles, blacked-out pillars, silver roof rails, and dual-tone alloy wheels. On the rear, it features a connected taillight setup with C-shaped taillamps, Tekton badging, a chunky blacked-out bumper with silver garnish, a roof spoiler with an integrated stop lamp, and a shark fin antenna. The Tekton will be offered in a total of 6 colour options: Pearl White, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Moonbow Gray, Flare Garnet Red, and Indigo Blue.

Nissan Tekton India: Features

The Tekton by Nissan features a dual-tone interior theme, and it comes packed with several advanced features, such as a dual-display setup with a 10.1-inch touchscreen-based infotainment system and a 10.2-inch fully digital driver’s display. Moreover, the SUV also features an electrically powered tailgate, ventilated front seats, paddle shifters, a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Ambient lighting, 700 litres of boot space, and more.

In terms of safety, the Tekton has scored a 5-star rating from Bharat NCAP. Additionally, the SUV is loaded with active and passive safety features, such as a Level 2 ADAS Suite, a 360-degree camera, a rear wiper with defogger, and more.

Nissan Tekton India: Engine Specifications

The Nissan Tekton will be offered with options of either a 1-litre turbo petrol engine or a 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine. While the 1-litre turbo petrol mill can be bought solely with a six-speed manual transmission, the 1.3-litre turbo petrol engine can be paired with a choice of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT transmission. The 1-litre turbo petrol unit on Tekton can generate a peak power and torque output of 100 hp and 166 Nm, respectively, whereas the 1.3-litre turbo petrol can churn out 163 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The brand is claiming a mileage of up to 19.4 km/l for the smaller engine, whereas the larger engine is stated to deliver a mileage of up to 18.5 kmpl.
