Ola Exhibits Four New Electric Motorcycle Concepts Along With Its Gen 2 Ola S1 Pro And Ola S1 X Release

Ola revealed the Gen 2 Ola S1 Pro and the new, more affordable Ola S1 X in India, along with four concepts for electric motorcycles. These four concepts include an ADV, roadster, cruiser, and a futuristic looking sportbike that the manufacturer called the Diamondhead.

There were hardly any specifications disclosed and very little information about the bikes' features were provided. According to Ola's head of design Ramkripa Ananthan, all four devices rely on a futuristic design and represent the core of the segment in terms of its overall design silhouette and intended usage pattern.

Specifications of the Ola Diamondhead Concept

The fourth product has a very unique appearance, with a look normally seen on concept motorcycles. Ola refers to it as the Diamondhead, the electric bike boasts a huge windscreen that resembles a dome, an LED headlamp that spans the motorcycle's width, and broad clip-on handlebars. When the bike is turned on, a retracting plastic cover uncovers the bike's concealed digital display.

The most peculiar feature of this Ola electric bike is the enormous swingarm up front, which may indicate that it has a hub-centered steering system rather than the standard fork configuration. A relatively small number of motorcycles have produced this intricate configuration. This bike features a belt drive mechanism as opposed to the other bikes' chain drives, and the fact that it has two substantial front disc brakes indicates it will be a performance-oriented vehicle.

Ola Electric Bike Launch Dates

No other information was provided, therefore the only thing we know for sure about the Diamondhead right now is what Ola's founder said: "This will truly define the future of riding. It will be a product that defines an entire generation, and even in 10 to 20 years from now, everyone will remember it for kicking in the EV revolution in motorcycles. It will establish the global standard for supersport motorcycling.

Apart from saying "end 2024" on one of the presentation slides, Ola made no remarks about launch dates for any of these bikes.
