Ola E-Bike Taxi Service: Ola, an Indian ride-hailing platform, has announced the introduction of its new e-bike taxi service in Delhi and Hyderabad. Ola tested the e-bike taxi service initially as a pilot program in Bengaluru and its success has prompted the company to expand the service to other cities. Ola has announced plans to roll out 10,000 electric two-wheelers in the next two months across Delhi and Hyderabad.

Ola claims to possess the largest electric two-wheeler fleet in India after deploying all the EVs. The company aims to expand its e-bike services to additional markets throughout the year. Under its e-bike service, Ola will charge around Rs 25 for 5 km, Rs 50 for 10 km and Rs 75 for 15 km. Ola emphasises that its e-bike service offers the “most affordable, sustainable and convenient solution for commuting within cities.”
Ola Mobility further revealed that its trial program was commenced in Bengaluru in September 2023. In just three months, the e-bike taxi category saw a significant 40 per cent increase in the market. Ola has completed over 1.75 million rides so far and established 200 charging stations in Bengaluru for its e-bike fleet. Additionally, Ola plans to create a widespread charging network in all the areas it operates. The company aims to provide e-bike taxi services to over one billion passengers through nationwide electrification strategy.
