FANCY number plates are a popular choice among car enthusiasts, particularly in India and other parts of the world. Car enthusiast always looks for the registration number they want after purchasing the car, and after paying a certain amount to the Registration authorities, they easily obtain it.
According to a recent update, the Guinness Book of World Records has a new entry for the most expensive number plate in the world, which was obtained by the P 7 at the charity auction held by Most Noble Numbers in Dubai. According to reports, the VIP number was auctioned off for 55 million dirhams, or approximately Rs 122.6 crore.
According to reports, all proceeds from the auction, which was held by Emirates Auction, will be used to support the 1 Billion Meals Endowment campaign, which aims to create the largest Ramadan sustainable food and endowment fund.
The sale of several fancy numbers, including the ten two-digit numbers AA19, AA22, AA80, O71, X36, W78, H31, Z37, J57, and N41, also took place during the auction. The auction also featured the numbers Y900, Q22222, and Y6666.
For those who are unaware, the fundraiser was initiated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the country's Vice President, and Prime Minister. The auction was reportedly held at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai, Jumeirah Beach, in collaboration with Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives.
Other numbers, such as O 71, were purchased for AED 150 million, Q22222 for AED 975,000, and AA19 for AED 4.9 million, according to reports. In addition, the charity auction saw the sale of unique mobile numbers in Dubai. The Platinum mobile number (9xxxx3333333) was sold at a whopping price of AED 2 million.
