AtherStack 7.0 Rolled Out: Ather has introduced a host of safety upgrades for its electric scooters through its biggest software upgrade to date, AtherStack 7.0. Announced at its Community Day event in Bengaluru, AtherStack 7.0 is backwards compatible with the Rizta Z and the 450X Gen 3, and will be available through an over-the-air (OTA) update in the coming months. This move, according to Ather, is aimed at enhancing rider safety, everyday convenience, and connectivity.
AtherStack 7.0: Voice-Enabled Interaction B/W Rider And Scooter
The latest software upgrade offers voice-enabled interaction in Indian dialects. Backed by a large language model, Ather's voice assist allows riders to communicate in their natural languages, keeping them informed of key metrics such as live location and tyre pressure.
AtherStack 7.0: Safety-Enhancing Suite
Also on offer are rider safety-oriented features. One of them is a unique Pothole Alert, which warns the rider of rough patches and potholes ahead and suggests alternate routes. For that, Ather has already identified and mapped out pothole data across major Indian cities (Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Pune). This database will evolve with more scooters contributing to real-world data.

Next is a crash alert, another feather in a cap. This feature sends a notification to your emergency contact with your live location in case of a major mishap. It also displays critical rider information for immediate assistance.
AtherStack 7.0: Anti-Theft Features
Anti-theft features include ParkSafe, which notifies owners about unsafe parking locations, and Locksafe, which enables you to lock your scooter through a mobile app. Owners can also remotely control the charging process or shut down the vehicle.
