PPF, Teflon, Or Ceramic Coating: Car coating is like putting an extra protective layer on top of your car's paint. It's essential for both new and used cars because it shields your car from corrosion, damage due to harsh weather, scratches, fingerprints and pollution dirt. This coating not only maintains the shine of your paint but also protects it from various elements, ensuring that your car's paint lasts longer. It's crucial to reapply this coating regularly as it can degrade over time. However, there are various types of coatings offered in the market such as Teflon coating, Ceramic coating or Paint Protection Film (PPF). Let’s take a look at these different types of coatings.

Teflon Coating

Teflon coating, also known as anti-rust or paint protection coating, is quite popular among Indian car owners and is highly recommended by dealers. In India, where cities are densely populated, accidents that cause dents, scratches and paint damage are common. Teflon coating adds an extra protective layer to your car's paint, increasing its longevity, protecting against corrosion, and giving it a glossy and smooth appearance.

Ceramic Coating

Ceramic coating is made from silicon and is another synthetic product used to protect car paint. It forms a hydrophobic layer that blends with the paint, providing long-term protection against external damage. Ceramic coating is often referred to as nano-ceramic coating because it creates a hard, glass-like layer over the paint. It's sourced from natural materials like quartz and sand and is highly durable, withstanding extreme weather conditions without breaking down easily.

Paint Protection Film

Paint protection film (PPF), also known as clear film or clear film paint, is a thermoplastic urethane with self-healing properties. It can repair scratches on its own and regain its shape after stretching. PPF is applied to new or used cars to shield them from bug splatters, rock chips and minor scratches, acting as a protective shield for the car's exterior.
